How are my ideas secured from being stolen?

Does the prize money get deposited into my account?

The prize money will be administered by the incubator Pula Pitch has partnered with to work with the winning business.

Can I apply if my business is only at the idea stage?

Yes, we accept applications for all stages of business, both operational and early-stage startups.

What if some of my partners are not Batswana, can I still apply?

We only accept applications from 100% citizen-owned companies.

How much funding does the winner get?

The winner gets BWP100,000.00 investment from Pula Pitch.

Is the funding a grant or a loan?

The funding is an investment into the company from Pula Pitch, for which Pula Pitch will acquire a percentage of equity from the winning company.

How much equity will Pula Pitch take from the winning company?

The percentage equity will be negotiated with the winning company based on the company's valuation, but the negotiation will start at a baseline minimum of 2.5%. Pula Pitch will not accept anything less than 2.5% of the company and nothing more than 30% of the company.

At what stage does the equity negotiation happen?

The equity negotiation will happen after the Final Pitch Round and before the gala event.

When is the deadline for submission of applications?

The deadline for submission of applications is at 23:59 on the 13th of May 2024 or when we reach our quota for applications we can receive. This will be communicated on our social media channels.
